15 Minutes Famous

Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 9, 2026

This policy explains what 15minutesfamous.com collects, why, and the choices you have. We keep it short on purpose. We do not sell your personal information.

1. What we collect

Account: your email address, used to sign you in and send you codes.

Nominations: the name, photo, story, city and optional Instagram or TikTok handle of the person featured, plus a private contact (email or phone) that is never shown publicly.

Activity: your cheers, credit purchases and credit balance, and the time you add to profiles.

Payments: Stripe handles your card. We only receive confirmation that a payment succeeded, the amount and the bundle bought. We never see or store your card number.

Visits: we count visits and QR scans with a random anonymous visitor ID stored on your device. It is not linked to your name or email.

Messages: what you write to us on the Contact, partner and party kit forms.

2. What is public and what is private

Public: the featured person's name, photo, story, city, supporter count and the clock.

Private: your email, the contact details of a nominee, your credit balance, your credit history and anything you send us through a form.

3. How we use it

To run the Site and the board, show public pages, send sign-in codes, send optional reminder emails when someone you support is about to run out of time, prevent abuse and fake accounts, answer your messages, and understand which pages and local partners bring people in.

4. Who we share it with

Service providers that help us run the Site: Supabase (database, sign-in and photo storage), Vercel (hosting), Stripe (payments) and Resend (email). They may only use the data to provide their service to us.

Local partners see only totals for their own link (visits, nominations, cheers). They never see names or emails of visitors.

We may disclose information if the law requires it or to protect people and the Site from harm.

5. Cookies and local storage

We use only what the Site needs to work: your sign-in session, your language and the anonymous visitor ID mentioned above. We do not use advertising cookies.

6. Reminder emails

If you support a profile we may email you when it is about to run out of time or has ended. Every email has a link to turn reminders off. Sign-in codes are always sent because you ask for them.

7. How long we keep data

Public pages stay until the featured person or we remove them. When a page is removed we delete it from the Site. We keep payment records as long as the law requires, and ordinary backups for a limited time.

8. Your choices and rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal information, or to remove a page about you, through the Contact page. California residents have the right to know, delete and correct their information and to not be discriminated against for using these rights. We do not sell or share personal information for advertising.

9. Under 18

The Site is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and we remove any page of a minor we find.

10. Security

We use encrypted connections and limit who can access the data. No system is perfectly secure, so please use the Site with that in mind.

11. Where data is processed

Our providers operate mainly in the United States. By using the Site you understand your information may be processed there.

12. Changes and contact

If we change this policy we will post the new version here with a new date. Questions or requests? Write to us through the Contact page.
